Minecraft Isn't Buying The NFT Hype, Says They're Exclusionary And Encourage 'profiteering'

Other major games studios have embraced a recent NFT craze and the gaming industry is seen by some as a major growth market for the tokens. Mojang said it was not going to jump on the bandwagon. Mojang stated in a statement that NFTs created models of scarcity or exclusion which were inconsistent with the guidelines and spirit of Minecraft. NFTs don't include all of our community, and create a scenario where the haves and the nots. Mojang appeared also to be concerned about NFTs within Minecraft leading to fraudulent activity.
